- The in-lab session will take place at Arizona State University's downtown Phoenix campus - It will include 4 different sections: (1) A questionnaire portion involving your behaviors and attitudes, as well as questions about your drinking and sexual activity (2) An activity in which you will briefly view pictures and answer questions about them (3) A sexually explicit story to read and answer questions about them (4) Beverage administration in which you will receive either alcohol and juice or just juice - You cannot drive yourself to the lab (due to the potential of receiving alcohol) - We will compensate rideshare (Lyft, Uber, etc.) up to $25 each way upon proof of receipt - If you receive alcohol, you are required to stay in the lab until a BAC of .02 or below - You will be paid for your time while you wait - You will be provided with movies, food, and drinks - You will be paid $15 an hour (minimum of $60) for your time in our lab
PART II: 32 DAYS OF ONLINE DAILY SURVEYS
- You will receive daily online surveys for 32 days after your in-lab session - Each survey will take between 5-10 minutes to complete and asks about your emotions and activities from the previous day - Reminder emails and texts will be sent to you each day - You can complete the surveys on your phone or through your computer - Each survey completed will net you $5 (up to $160 total)
A $115 bonus for completing at least 80% of surveys
PART III: 5 FOLLOW-UP SURVEYS
- Once the daily survey task is complete, you will need to fill out 5 monthly follow-up surveys for 5 consecutive months - These cover the previous month's drinking and sexual activity and take about 30 minutes to complete - Completing a survey will earn you $40 (up to $200 total)
